5083 alloy is a typical 5XXX series alloy and a typical automotive sheet alloy. Aluminium 5083 h111 is a popular choice. It has excellent weldability, corrosion resistance, processing and formability and low temperature properties. Among Al-Mg series alloys, it has medium strength properties. The strength of the welded joint can be equal to that of the base material in the annealed state, and it has reliable corrosion resistance.
The mechanical properties of the alloy increase evenly as the temperature decreases, as does the fracture toughness. It is a good automotive covering. Alloy, especially suitable for internal and external welding sheet metal structures of commercial vehicles, various special vehicles, semi-trailers, etc.
Dump trucks are the main trucks used to transport granular and powdery materials. The body of the dump truck is made of aluminum plate products mainly 5083 aluminum plate and 5A05 aluminum plate. The welding part is made of 5183 aluminum alloy. The body of the car is welded with an aluminum plate of about 5mm.
The interior is lined with steel plates. The aluminum alloy dump truck is 50% lighter than the original all-steel truck, but its performance, load-bearing and other properties can meet the requirements. Dump trucks are also the main direction of current all-aluminum trucks.
