The composition of 6056 aluminum alloy is complex. During the semi-continuous casting process, the structure of the ingot will deviate from the equilibrium state to varying degrees, resulting in severe dendrite segregation and forming a large number of non-equilibrium solidified eutectic structures.
Therefore, the 6056 aluminum alloy ingot must be homogenized annealing treatment to eliminate dendrite segregation, and at the same time make the non-equilibrium solidification eutectic structure in the alloy dissolve into the matrix, minimize the residual crystalline phase in the matrix, and improve the plasticity of the alloy.
